Bags, Bags, Bags.....

I know it seems as though I haven't been posting much lately.

I've been sewing every....single.....day......

I've been so blessed that my Etsy shop has really kept me busy.

The awesome part is that I really love making these project bags!

It gives me the excuse to buy fabrics

that I've always thought were cute,

but never had a use for in my own life.

To hear from my customers when they are 

happy with their orders

and especially the repeat customers

is such a great feeling :)

It's also great that all my "Sisters" at church have these bags too.

We use them for our Bible study materials.

I look around the room on Wednesday nights

and see my bags on the table :)

Makes my heart happy!

I put my heart into each one :)

With Christmas just around the corner

I'm using my time in between custom orders

to fill the shop for the holiday shoppers.

I still need some Nana time to work on projects

for my own little Minions.

Also I"m working on a pincushion for the Pin It Hop.

My turn to share is on Monday.

I heart Fall :)

I know it's still technically Summer,

but I love fall so much I just can't wait!

Don't the eyes on these owls just melt your heart?

I can't get over Michelle Palmer's talent.

Makes it so hard to part with these beauties,

but I can't keep them all :)

Hurry up Summer.....I'm ready for sweater weather!

Something to Crow about :)

I had such a good time last night sewing 

while the guys were outside

having their Friday night Cigar & Movie time.

I love to see my hubby, my son, my son-in-law

and my nephew spending that "man" time together.

It makes my heart happy to hear them laughing

and chatting until midnight :)

It also gives me one night a week

to sew or stitch while I listen to music.

It's a win win!

I made 4 new Limited Edition bags

featuring the amazing talents of Michelle Palmer.

I seriously can't wrap my head around

how she draws like that.

But I'm glad she shares her talent :)

These bags are in the shop now, while they last.

Fall is just around the corner :)

Fall is my favorite time of year

so I hope you don't mind if I get in the spirit of Fall a bit early :)

I'd rather wear a sweater and drink hot chocolate any day

than be miserable in the heat of Summer.

And for those few who, 

like me,

don't enjoy shopping for...

or wearing....

swimwear,

Fall is a welcome season!!!

I've been running my very own 

personal sewing sweat shop lately.....

Sewing up project bags like they are going out of style.

I even rec'd my very first order of 100 zippers this week.

I used to buy them 25 at a time.

I never thought I'd ever need that many zippers....

(Sandra....I blame you)

The good news is that I really love sewing the bags!

I love buying the fabrics that I would't normally buy

and then combining them in fun ways.

I've added some Halloween and Fall bags today

and more will be coming soon.

They are limited quantities

and when they are gone I won't likely replace them.

All the project bags,

with the exception of the limited edition bags

and custom order bags are $25.00 each.

They will all be going up to $32.00 each as of August 1st.

If you've had your eye on one,

now would be the time to grab it before the price change.

Next week I'll be adding some gorgeous new

 Limited Editon bags

with the amazing artwork of Michelle Palmer!

You may remember the pincushion and thread catcher set 

I made a few months back.....

While blog hopping I happened upon "Threads on My Socks"

owned by Susie Layman, a super talented illustrator.

She is so amazingly gifted!

I contacted her and asked if she would be interested

in designing an embroidery pattern 

for the top of the pincushion I was working on.

She said yes

and the rest is history!

We have been working together since then

and I'm so proud of the both of us.

This project could not have come together the way is has

without her amazing skills!

I feel so blessed to have met her :)

We are already working on other patterns

to be released soon.

I knew instantly that I needed to own

some of her ah-mazing artwork.

Can you believe that she draws these

illustrations with pen & ink on muslin?

I know right?

These are not prints,

they are hand drawn works of art!

I can't get over the detail!

Just look at those eyes!!!

Anyhoooo.....

I decided to make Limited Edition bags

featuring her amazing artwork.

She was gracious enough to give me the go ahead

so here they are.

Faith, Hope and Love is already sold

and the other 3 are listed in my shop.

I've already gone back and ordered 2 more sets of drawings.

I hope these sell quickly so I can buy some more!!!

Christmas in July :)

Yes, I know.

Tomorrow is the 4th of July.

But It's never to early to start working on Christmas projects.

I've made some stitch-able quilted Christmas stockings

that have a 14ct aida cuff.

They can be ordered with 28ct evenweave as well.

They come in two styles:

Elf stockings with the curly toe

and traditional :)

I only have enough of these fabrics

to make 2 of each.

During the month of July

they are ONLY available 

at Crazy Annies' Stitchin'.

I'll be adding more fabrics

next week as well.

Also available at Crazy Annie's exclusively in July

are these Christmas themed project bags.

They would make a great gift filled with stitching goodies

or for yourself to use during the holiday season.

What's new with you?

Hi everyone :)

This is what used to be my kitchen table.

I'm so blessed that my hubby is understanding.

I won't even pretend that I clean this fabric catastrophe

every night before he comes home from work........

I've been up to my eyeballs in fabric, rick rack 

and basting spray.

I wish I could show you what I've been up to.

I feel like such a blog-slacker lately.

I'll be sharing a super exciting project

(at least I'm super excited about it :)

with you in the next few days.

Not sure if it will be ready by the 4th

or by the weekend,

but either way I hope you come by and share my joy :)

Sewin, sewin, sewin :)

It's been a wonderfully busy week over here.

Just me and the sewing machine humming along :)

I've had some custom orders

that were fun to complete.

Today the last package will ship out.

I've also been busy working on a project

that I can't share just yet.

It's killing me because I'm terrible at keeping secrets.

I'm hoping to have all my ducks in a row

by 4th of July weekend.

I hope you'll stop by and see what's new.

I've also been working with Christmas fabrics.

Yes......Christmas already.

I can't share them yet, but soon as well :)

I also have almost completed my cross stitch 

for the Tammy bag "Plan A".

This photo is the front pocket. 

As soon as I have the back pocket stitched

I'll sew the bag.

I can't wait :)

I do love me some red!

Completion :)

There is something SO wonderful about completing something :)

I finished this quilt for my niece 3 days before her graduation.

(That's got to be a new record for me!)

The fabric is "Pure" by Sweetwater 

and I used a pattern from the book "Sweetwater's Simple Home".

I love the way it came out.

The fabric is so soft and wonderful :)

For the backing I just chose random scraps

to break up the solid backing.

I hand stitched the label :)

And added the date too.

This is only the second quilt that I've actually

"quilted" on my sewing machine.

I couldn't forget to "Thank" my helper, Arthur.

He's in charge of quality control :)

And he matches the colors so nicely too!

And speaking of completion.....

for graduating from Cal Poly Pomona!

Tammy Bag Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to 

the Tammy Bag Blog Hop!

A big "Thank you" to Madam Samm

for hosting as well as designing this darling bag pattern!

Today I'm showing you my "Plan B" bag.

All this time I've been working on a cross stitch piece

that would have been the focal point of my Tammy bag.

You see I mistakenly looked at July

on the calendar instead of June

and thought my day to show my bag 

was Wednesday the 17th.

Guess what?

In the month of June,

the 17th is Monday!!!!

PANIC!!!!

I knew I'd never finish the cross stitch on time.

So I decided on polka dot denim

with red gingham lining.

I used some fun ribbon and crocheted flowers.

I love this little bag

but I'm planning on finishing up the original design

in my head in the next few days.

I can't wait to show it to you when it's done :)
