I can't believe that my second quilt is actually done! I had so much fun making this :) My daughter in law, April picked out these great fabrics by Riley Blake from the Sugar & Spice collection. I purchased every print in the line that was pink and green. I added pink gingham and a pink & green floral that had the same colors in it.
The front side of the quilt has 4 hand appliqued flowers. The largest one is the one stitched in red.
I added another hand appliqued flower to the backside as a quilt label :)
That way Sofie can always know that her Nana stitched lots of love into her quilt!
I used the outline of one of the larger flowers on the fabric to make a cardboard template and used that to hand quilt flowers onto every other square. With 9 rows across and 9 rows down it worked out that there is a quilted flower on every corner :)
Tomorrow at church I get to give this beauty away :)
I can't wait to snap a photo of little Miss Sofie on her quilt!
So now that the 2 little princesses have their quilts done, it's time to get started on my 3rd adventure!
These yummy fabrics are from American Jane, called Happy Camper :) I can't wait to get busy cutting into this lovely bundle of goodness! I won't say who it's for, just in case they happen to read this blog, but I'll be posting updates as I go along.
This is simply too adorable for words! I'd love it if you came and linked up to my weekend linky party going on now!
