A while back I told my hubby that I was done with swaps.
And I meant it........
but I changed my mind :)
It's a woman's prerogative...right?
You may have noticed the Mug Rug Swap button
on the right hand of my blog.
I signed up last week and I have my partner info.
She's from Australia!
I'm super excited to get started!!!
I also signed up for
"My Favorite Things" Exchange over at
Stitched with Love.
This one is a cross stitch swap!
Super excited about that one too.
Not sure yet who my partner will be
but I'm hoping for someone in Europe.
How fun will it be to receive packages with
stitched goodness from overseas?
As you can see from the first photo,
I'm almost done with my flag stitchery,
but I ran out of floss (I hate it when that happens!)
And I couldn't just sit idle while the hubby watches TV
so I began stitching this Sue Hillis design.
What are you all working on?
Any fun swaps in your future?
The flag is great! I haven't cross stitched in a while. I need to grab my project and do it while watching TV too! Can't wait to see what you create for your Aussie partner.
ReplyDeleteAs they say...idle hands are the devil's workshop. But no one will ever be able to say that about you :-)! I totally LOVE the flag as I love ALL things American :-)! Your stitching is virtually perfect. It makes the pattern absolutely POP :-)!
ReplyDeleteI am working on making tea wallets for my mom-in-love's women's ministry event in September. I got an early start because I need to make 75. I am 'sew' proud of myself...I can make the tea wallets without looking at the pattern. Yay me :-)!
I have that flag pattern, might have to start that soon.
ReplyDeleteonly one little sat block swap plus a few steampunk blog hops and baby clothes and quilties in my immediate future.
ReplyDeleteDarn you!!! You had to do it, didn't you? The "My Favorite Things" exchange sounds like lots of fun so of course I just couldn't resist! It's all your fault! ;) I haven't done cross stitch in years but always loved it. You have been making me want to pull it out again and now you got me doing it. Thanks! :)
