2012 After Christmas Sew Along

Well here we go!
I'm so excited about all the generous people who are
supplying us with discount codes and fabulous prizes
to make this a really fun month of sewing!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

The Details:
The fun starts Monday January 2nd.

#1. Sew anything you like.
It can be Christmas themed or not.
I'll be sewing Christmas decor for my home
since I never have the time to do that.
Most of us are constantly sewing for others
and seldom get the chance to sew for ourselves.
You can even get a jump start on gifts
for next Christmas if you want to.
It's totally up to you.

#2. Every Monday, begining January 2nd for 4 weeks,
I will post a link to a  flicker group
for you to share photos of your creations.
Each Monday there will be a completely new group
for that week only.
A winner will be chosen at random every Friday evening
and I will post the winner on
this blog on Saturday.
You can join in at any time!

That's it....easy peasy!
Just have fun!!!

and not having any deadlines or pressure!

grab a button and spread the word!

And if you have the time,
leave me a comment

  23. Grabbed the button--and going to sew along. hopefully I can squeeze something in tomorrow evening--I am having my grandson for a couple nights and Grams has to play! My first project on the table is a Pouch Pad. I found the pattern in the fall issue of Quiltmaker's Small Quilts & Gifts magazine. And the fabric is "Max & Whiskers" by moda. This is perfect for my new yard puppy "Bonnnie" a 4 month old Jack Russell Terrier whose purpose on the farm is to rid us of the moles!

  24. OOppppps! that is supposed to be a Pooch Pad :)

  26. I've always wanted to participate in one of these. I guess the time here! I've been promising my 4 yr old a backpack. I'd also like to make cases for my youngest 2 Innotabs. It'll be fun designing something easy for them to use and store not only the devices but games. Yay.

  27. I owe my brother a quilt (rag) and I have a few things that didn't get done BEFORE Christmas, so this would be a wonderful way to be helped to get them done!

  28. I have been looking for a way to focus on and finish the projects I have, before I dream up new ones. Your sew along sounds like a good way for me to do just that. I will begin with a purple poncho my daughter has be asking for. I am so happy to join your group.

  31. I decided on an I Spy quilt- I participated in a swap last summer and have yet to put it all together. I am already calling it "Letting Go" and just sewing the pieces together randomly (ok- I sorted them by color- but the rest is random!)....not easy to just let go.....but if I work on it fast enough I won't have a chooice :)
