Dare To Dresden Hop and Giveaway!

Welcome to Day 4 of the Dare To Dresden Hop!

For this hop I decided to make
a MUCH needed new ironing board cover.
I made three 6" Dresdens
and embroidered "wash" "press" "repeat"
in the centers :)
I used my old stained nasty  gently used cover
as the pattern.
Taking that sucker apart took way longer
than making the new one :)
Making Dresdens is totally FTS, (fun to sew)
but attaching them by hand is not my favorite thing.
I do love the final result,
so I guess it's worth it in the end.
I'm one of the strange few that actually enjoys ironing
so this new cover just makes me happy :)

Now....on to the giveaway!
One lucky winner will receive
3 fat quarters of  Cotton Blossoms by Bonnie & Camille
and the Ruffle Potholder pattern by Sweetwater!
Anybody want this?
For your chance to win just leave me a comment
and tell me what crafty goodness you would work on
if time and money were no object.
You don't have to be a follower to enter,
but if you are....

for a second chance to win.
You have until Sunday Feb 3rd to enter.
Winner will be announced Monday Feb 4th.
Easy peasy :)

  2. If time and money were not an object, I would quit my job and quilt all day, every day just for the fun of it. My studio would look like a quilt store with all the latest and greatest fabrics at my finger tips. I'd have a professional photography studio to snap pictures of my crafty goodness in the perfect light. I'd have a huge cutting table at the perfect height for me and a table big enough to spread out a king size quilt for basting.....oh, can I dream or what?

  4. If time and money didn't count --- I would make a cathedral window quilt. But time is at a premium -- so I'll work on smaller projects.

  9. That is just gorgeous, it could almost be worth ironing to look at that.
If money were no object I'd probably do much the same crafts as I do now, I'd just have a much better space to do them in

  11. WoW! You did an amazing job! How gorgeous is your ironing board! Heck, you should never put it away, hehe. One day I have to attempt a new cover for mine. Thank you for sharing, awesome job! If money was no object, then I could hire a housekeeper so I could sew all day. I have lots of UFOs that I really want to finish. My goal this year is to get several of my quilts completed. Since money is an object and I can't totally ignore my family, hehe, I will just do what I can.

Thank you for a super giveaway and a chance to win some lovely fabric. Yes, I can use this fabric, hehe.

  13. That's sew clever to make your ironing board like that - I like it! If I had the chance, I'd quit my Day Job and spend 8 hours a day in my sewing room making quilts for all my family and projects that strike my fancy. Nothing in particular. I just want to make them all!

  34. If time and money weren't an object.. a nice sewing studio that I could quilt in as well as clothes for my little monkey..I love to do both but rarely have the time or the space to have many projects going.

  35. Oh, your dresden projects are so fantastic! Wish my ironing board looked so good. ;o)

I would spend more time sewing and designing to my heart's content. I would open up a studio where other's could come to sew (or learn to sew) with machines available for their use. Including a long arm. Yes, that would be fun!
