Owl always love a great bag :)

My daughter's birthday was several weeks ago,
but illness and other circumstances out of my control
meant that I didn't get to see her until yesterday.
So now I can show you what I made for her.
I used the  Keyka Lous Messenger Bag again.
LOVE this pattern and LOVE the bag.
The company name has changed to Michelle Patterns,
but she no longer sells this pattern.
You can see other bags I've made
using this pattern here and here.
I used this bright Owl fabric
that my daughter had mentioned that she liked
and a soft cotton canvas in black
with black and white polka dots for the lining.
(Don't you just love when a project comes out so cute
you want to keep it for yourself?)

I love all the pockets in this bag.
There are pockets on each side of the bag
as well as pockets on the front and backside
and cell phone pockets inside.
It's just a great sized bag for everyday
and totally FTS :)
The pattern might look daunting,
but it's not at all.
I already have another one cut out and ready to sew
for myself this time....
So now I'm working on finishing up a "Man Bag"
for my 6 year old grandson David :)
I'll post pics soon.

  3. I was hoping that bag was in the set of retired patterns, but alas - it's not. You did a great job on it - that owl fabric is great - bright and fun! One might even say, it's a hoot ;)

  6. I love this bag too and your turned out so lovely. I have made at least five from this pattern. It is so great and we could hope that Michelle will take it up again in her shop. Every thing is great with this pattern, except the elastic closure, it will not last as long as the bag. I have made two from recycled jeans also.
    Thanks for sharing
