These boots ain't made for walkin'

Last night while the hubby watched a "man movie" I decided to work on these darling baby booties from this re-released Simplicity pattern from 1948. I made a pair about 6 months ago for a friends baby shower. I was hopeful that one day I'd get to make some of these for my own grand-daughter. Now I have 2 to sew for :)

So this is how the conversation with my hubby went last night:

Hubs - "So what are you working on now?"
Me - "baby booties"
Hubs - "out of felt?"
Me - "sure...why not?"
Hubs - "they don't seem like they would hold up well for walking"
Me - "these are baby booties....they don't walk in them"
Hubs - "then I don't get it. Why do they need shoes?"
Me - "Hello? Because they're girls! It completes an outfit!"

Boys just don't understand that girls need accessories :)
