Finally Friday!

"Waiting for Santa" a freebie by Helga Mandl Designs.
I have to say that I'm really enjoying seeing all your fun
I've been stitching quite a bit myself.
I love getting lost in my stitch count.
It is so calming :)
I finished the "Waiting for Santa" freebie
and I'm 1/2 way through the Nativity set
that I'm working on.

"The Christmas Story" Nativity from For the Love of Cross Stitch Magazine  July 2002 and  Sept 2002
I also made another one of my favorite tote bags
for a friend's baby shower.
She's having a girl and is doing the nursery
in purple and green.
I love love love this bag pattern.
It's Simplicity 9658 view C
and you can fit just about anything into it.
My best friend calls it the "Infinity bag"
because no matter how much you stuff
into it, there's always room for more :)

I found this darling fabric by Heidi Grace at Joann's.
It has all those cute flowers and hearts
with a wood grain background.
Isn't it adorable?
I used pale green pin dots for the lining
and purple cotton canvas for the outside.

Don't forget to post your projects!
You have until midnight tonight.
Good luck everyone!!!

  3. Seeing all these cute XS projects makes me want to pull out my file of patterns (well, it's online, so there wouldn't be any pulling involved, LOL) and my box of threads - my hands wouldn't hold up very long but a few stitches a day might be fun ... little stitchouts make great embellishments for other projects ... not to mention perfect ornaments! I know I have an owl or two that would work well with my gifts to my sister and her grandson :D (OMG I should make reusable owl gift tags for her to use when she gives gifts to LL ...)

I haven't seen that gorgeous flower print @ Joanns but I'll keep an eye out for it - what a sweet design!

  5. Boy howdy I totally LOVE the tote :-)! The fabric is too cute and makes me happy. This is the kind of fabric that I would just love to have in my stash!

Your cross stitch projects are beautiful :-)!

I am working on jammie pants for Reginald, a baby wipes holder for Christopher and plan to go shopping for fabric for Moon's doll baby carrier this weekend. I am still uncertain about the fabric....

    I will post photos tonight.
