First Ever GIVEAWAY !!!

A friend of mine mentioned the other day that you could see how many people are reading your blog under the "stats" tab on the blogger dashboard. So I looked. Sometimes there are over 60 page views in one day! There are people reading the blog from as far away as Russia, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Latvia, Greece and Japan....who knew? There are times when I can't even get my hubby to listen to what I have to say....and he loves me! I couldn't imagine how they found my blog, but being the very curious person that I am, I decided to ask that question. On top of that, I was trying to figure out how to get these anonymous readers to post something. So I'm doing my first ever GiveAway! I made this really cute Sewer's Organizer yesterday. (The giveaway is for the organizer only, not the contents in the photo) The pattern is available on a free download from Butterick. One lucky reader will win this organizer! You can enter by posting your first name, where you are from, and how you found my blog. Anyone can enter and you only need to post once. A winner will be chosen at random next Friday the 12th of November.

  13. Hi! I'm April and I live in AZ - but I'm originally from Modesto, CA. I really don't remember how I found you (I think it was a google search for National Tie One On Day.) but I love reading about all your projects - it makes me envy the time you have to spend on them!! (I can sit down to do a potholder, figuring I'll have it done in no time, but I get busy and the next thing I know it's HOURS later and I'm still at it!) I do love sewing, though. Used to make a lot of clothes, but I find crafty sewing to be much more fun. My mother did dressmaking & alterations as a business out of the home, and she started teaching me when I was very young, so it's in my blood. :-)

I love the fact that you're participating in Tie One On Day - I want to but there is no way I will be able to make an apron between now and then. My goal is to have one for next year! I love aprons (and cooking).

  14. Hi April! Nice to meet you! My mom was a professional seamstress so I grew up covered in thread too! Got my first real machine when I was 8. I agree that crafty sewing is more fun because you don't have to worry about whether it's going to fit or not :)
