The Nana-razzi!

Elijah and Caleb with the Silver Camera :)

I don't know exactly when it happened. But I am the un-official photog of the family :) It doesn't matter if it's a holiday or just a babysitting adventure, I will have my camera in tow and everyone in the family knows it. I noticed yesterday that I have more than 9,000 photos in my photoshop files. And that is only the last 2 years! I can't imagine how I'll ever get caught up on my scrapbooking! In December of last year, I sold some of my old gold jewelry and oddly enough, it turned out to be just the right amount of money to buy my beautiful Canon EOS T1i. This is quite a step up from my Kodak Easyshare (that I still use) and before that was an earlier version of the Kodak that my oldest grandson Elijah has been using since he was 5. One day Caleb who is 2 years younger, asked if he could use the silver camera. I told him that he had to be 5 years old first, just like Elijah. He said "OK...Nana." Then he waited a few minutes and said "Hey Nana....guess what? I'm 5 years old now".  Yes...I write this stuff down in a journal on my desk :)

So today I finally got around to making the strap cover that I've been wanting to make. The usual strap covers slide right over the strap and tend to slide back and forth. I found this great tutorial that shows how to make a strap that is contoured at both ends to fit the strap properly and it stops the sliding problem. I added fusible batting to mine because I wanted it to be soft as well as adorable! I'll definately be making more of these. A girl has to have accessories!
