I'm sorry....but I've found someone new.....

Dear blue plastic shoe box, I know that for the past few years you have sat beside me on the couch and carefully held my cross-stich projects and supplies without complaint even though you were really made to protect a pair of my beloved shoes. But the time has come for a change and my new sewing caddy was designed just for this purpose....

I've been working on all kinds of things for Christmas and birthdays lately and was looking at my fabric stash and I realized that there is fabric that I absolutley love, but I don't want to cut into it. (I know I'm weird, I have the same problem with some of my scrapbook paper) I'm afraid that I will mess it up and then I can't replace it. Well, I threw caution to the wind today and actually cut into my beloved red French country inspired fabric. As soon as I saw this wonderful free sewing caddy tutorial  I knew this was the fabric I wanted to use. It's cool and gloomy outside today, the perfect Sewing Saturday :) So here is the fruit of my labor. This sewing caddy has 5 pockets inside and 3 pockets outside. It was fun to make and I'm glad it had 1/2 inch seam allowances and not those annoying 1/4 seams! I think it will look alot better than the shoe box on my side table in the living room.  (sorry shoe box)

  6. I know this is an old post but I just found the instructions. I'm still learning how to sew and don't know what WOM means in the instructions. Can you please help!?

  7. Michelle....WOM is width of material. Most times you will see it as WOF (width of fabric). I hope that helps :)
