Almost done....

This was my first time working with a jelly roll
and I have to say that I can't believe how much "fuzz"
comes off of those pinked edges.
I've been using one of those lint rollers
with the sticky paper to roll my clothes
every day when I'm done sewing.
Just look at all this fuzz and thread on the rug
outside my sewing room.
And that's just from 1 day!

I'm tracking it all over the house on the bottom of my socks.
I have to wear socks when I sew
because my feet get cold and I can't sew with shoes on.

I know, I know,

it's just me right?

Well now that I have most of the quilt top done,
I can vacuum and dust
and have a few days of clean floors
while I wait for the fabric for the border and binding
to get here from etsy.
Now it's time to clean my kitchen
and finish the laundry :)

  1. Not just you, I cannot sew with shoes on either, so usually socks or soft ballerina slippers....

  9. Hi! I've been working with some moda fabrics too, and noticed all the fuzz. I think it is from how they make the fabric, the fine threads and the weave. It's not you!
I used to wear socks too, to sew, now I'm used to wearing a slip on shoe, with a firm sole, protection against pins and needles!
    Take care, Leslie
